Company Overview

Beacon Hill (BH) is a non-profit organization, beaconhillprep.org,  that provides critical supplemental math and reading tutoring and enrichments to students in the DFW communities. Programs include in-school, after-school, and summer programming. We ensure students Catch Up, Keep Up and Stay Ahead by developing data-informed intervention plans and supporting teachers and parents throughout the school year. Our desired outcomes are to help each student achieve grade-level proficiency in math and reading, develop confident learners, and level the playing field for all participating students.

Position Summary

This position will be a direct report to the Operations Manager providing hands-on support facilitating the day-to-day flow of the Beacon Hill operations. The Operations Manager will function from a high-level view over operations and needs a team member that can coordinate the mid to low level view of the operations. This person needs to be:

This candidate needs to able to communicate, to the Operations Manager, the finalized details and/or be conversational about the process of the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Aid the Operations department with prepping and delivering curriculum to
    • Program Managers
    • Walk-in Private clients
  • Manage and execute maintaining break room and updating seasonal decorations in the office
  • Separate and organize campus supply deliveries accordingly in Room 136 and off-site storage facilities
  • Aid Human Resources with executing details for office events (including but not limited to: Professional Development Events, Holiday Events, Team Building Events, etc.)
  • Room Reservations and Room setup - Secondary
  • Aid with setup for these events - Secondary
    • Food pickup
    • Room setup and tear down
  • Retrieve information from Microsoft forms, compile and filter to appropriate channels
    • Supply Ordering
  • Communicate finalized details to Operations Manager & Beacon Hill Team
    • Purchases
    • Deliver receipts to Accounting department
  • Assist in managing Operations Team Systems, i.e., but not limited to:
    • Asana
    • EZO
    • Salesforce

Other Duties as designated by Operations Manager or Leadership Team

Location:  Combination of Corporate Office (Downtown Dallas) and school campus locations across DFW Metroplex (typically a 25-mile radius from downtown Dallas, TX). 

Work Schedule: Full-Time (36 hours per week), Monday-Friday. Some daytime and nighttime travel may be required (may develop into a 40 hours per week Full-Time position)

Rate of Pay:  $19.00 to $22.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Ideal candidate is flexible in approach and willing to adapt when necessary. Highly skilled and collaborative, this emotionally intelligent individual will be crucial in the Beacon Hill Operations team. The Operations Coordinator will demonstrate character, warmth, dependability, responsiveness, initiative, knowledge, credibility, a good sense of humor and will ensure that all Beacon Hill Operations department activities operate consistently and ethically within our mission and values and according to the pre-defined operation’s plan(s).

Leadership responsibilities to managing daily operations include but are not limited to the following:

Education and Experience

  • College degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in business administration, preferably in a non-profit or philanthropic foundation setting a plus
  • Skilled in Supply Chain/Logistics
  • Broad knowledge of Human Resources, Finance & IT Management

Physical Demands 

Physical demands of the position may include, but are not limited to:

  • Standing, walking, bending, sitting for an extended period.
  • Able to reach outward and above or below the shoulder.
  • May be required to lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.
